Under the patronage of His Eminence Sayyid Sadr al-Din al-Qubanji, founder of the Islamic University, and under the supervision of the University President, Professor Dr. Ammar al-Salamy, the University began its annual service procession this morning to provide services to visitors heading to the holy city of Karbala to commemorate the fortieth anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), within the borders of the holy province of Najaf.
The launch of this procession embodies the university’s mission to serve the community and actively participate in major religious events, as the university is keen to affirm its social and humanitarian presence through this annual activity.
The university presidency emphasized that this annual initiative reflects the university’s commitment to the principles of the Husseini renaissance and embodies the educational and spiritual significance of the Arbaeen pilgrimage. They noted that the procession will continue offering its services throughout the duration of the visit, supported by thorough logistical and organizational preparations to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service.
