Planning and Studies Department at the Islamic University Holds Meeting to Strengthen Coordination with Other Departments and Units

On Saturday, May 18, Professor Dr. Fadhel Abdul-Abbas Al-Abidi, Director of the Planning, Studies, and Follow-up Department at the Presidency of the Islamic University, held an extended meeting with the department staff, which includes three divisions: Statistics, Studies and Planning, and Data and Informatics.

Dr. Al-Abidi opened the meeting by welcoming the attendees and praising the efforts of the Statistics Division in supporting various university sectors. The head of the department stressed the importance of coordination and collaboration among its divisions as well as with other departments within the university presidency and colleges.

The meeting addressed the mechanisms for obtaining the required reports and updates through direct coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education. The director stressed the importance of the accuracy of information received from the colleges and the need to establish institutional databases within the colleges, which would serve as a reliable foundation for compiling official reports and status updates.

He also highlighted the necessity of enhancing data quality through the use of modern software and technologies, urging specialists—particularly in the Computer and Informatics Division—to improve technical performance and data management efficiency.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al-Abidi listened to the attendees’ feedback and comments, expressing his appreciation for their engagement and wishing them continued success in their work.
