The Department of Public Relations and Media Department seeks to be the window of the Islamic University on society, and a link between the university and its students and its audience and various public and private sectors on the other hand, And to establish a positive impression of the Islamic University and its lofty mission, And the formation of mental images that are in line with the scientific and educational objectives and status of the university.
The aim of the Public Relations and Media Department is to adhere to ethical and professional standards. objectivity, And adopt transparency in the transmission and writing of news about the university.
Islamic University Community Service Strategy for the academic year 2024-2025
Within the framework of the university’s vision and mission towards community service, and in line with its five-year strategic plan 2024-2028.
The university presents its community service strategy for the year 2025: –
1- Effective and sustainable partnership with various community organisations
- Promote and inculcate Islamic and religious concepts, cultural and civilisational development, and achieve a positive and sustainable impact on community development.
- Holding an annual community partnerships forum with representatives of community organisations to exchange ideas and build new partnerships.
- Launching the ‘Success Partners’ programme that honours institutions and individuals who support the university’s direction and community service
- Building relationships based on trust and mutual respect between the university and various community organisations through continuous communication and constructive cooperation
- Strengthen collaboration with local authorities, non-governmental organisations and the private sector to achieve positive and sustainable impact.
- Expand the network of partnerships to ensure the sustainability of efforts and maximise effectiveness.
- Allocate, organise and sustain the necessary resources to effectively and efficiently implement programmes and initiatives
2- Consultancy and training services for different community organisations
- Establishment of an SME Advisory Support Centre that provides guidance and advice on business management and development
- Organising leadership and management skills courses for public and private sector employees to improve performance and increase organisational effectiveness.
- Providing advisory services and technical assistance to governmental and non-governmental organisations and bodies.
- Organising awareness campaigns on social and environmental issues and contributing to their resolution
- Providing educational and training programmes targeting different groups in society to develop skills and competencies.
- Providing training courses and workshops in fields that meet the needs of the local labour market.
- Organise various activities such as seminars and exhibitions and involve different community organisations in them
3- University relationship with graduates
- Establishing the Alumni Advisory Council to provide a voice for alumni and participate in submitting proposals to develop the university’s programmes and services
- Create official platforms to communicate with alumni, such as official social media pages and alumni emails.
- Organise interactive events and activities such as alumni meetings and workshops to contribute to the exchange of experiences
- Providing career support services for graduates, such as career counselling, workshops, and training courses.
- Providing employment and training opportunities for graduates through business networks and partnerships with companies
- Organise social and cultural events that bring together current and former alumni to foster community spirit
- Regularly conduct alumni satisfaction surveys to understand their needs, evaluate their experience at the university and continuously improve
4. Supporting the provision, development and utilisation of technological technologies for community development

- Supporting technological innovation, entrepreneurship and SME development to boost economic growth
- Organise an annual technological innovation competition that motivates students and innovators to provide technical solutions to societal issues.
6- Enhancing and preparing students to interact with the community and its various institutions
- Training students of the completed stages in specialised institutions locally and internationally.
- Providing support and encouragement for students to participate in community service activities
- Organizing religious, cultural, artistic, and sporting events to enhance communication and interaction between students and the community
- Involving students in organizing awareness campaigns on issues such as sustainable development, human rights, and public health.
- Honoring distinguished efforts and outstanding contributions to community service
- Strengthening the university’s role in caring for students with special needs
7- Sustainability of community service
- Incorporating sustainability principles into the design and implementation of community programs and projects to ensure their long-term sustainability
- Financing and supporting ongoing and sustainable service activities.
- Launching the “Sustainable Impact” initiative, which allows students and graduates to participate in designing and implementing development projects with long-term impact.
Measuring performance indicators
Providing services to the community can be very important for universities, and in order to measure and evaluate the performance of these services and guide them towards improving their services and their positive impact on the community, the following indicators are used:-
- Number of partnerships and collaborations with local and community organisations.
- The number of SMEs benefiting from the centre and the number of consultations provided annually.
- The number of individuals participating in the events and programmes organised by the university to serve the community.
- The percentage of participation in community and voluntary activities offered by the university.
- The number of individuals who have directly benefited from the university’s programmes and services to the community.
- Satisfaction surveys of beneficiaries and participants in the services and programmes provided by the university to the community.
- Number of periodic meetings, and the number of recommendations made and implemented to improve the university’s programmes
- The number of successful projects implemented by the university and their impact on the local community.
- Track the development and improvement of services provided to the community.
- The number of views and interactions of the film, and the number of entities using the film in different events.
- Analyse data and observations to identify shortcomings and opportunities to develop and improve the university’s services to the community.
