About the unit
The Studies, Planning and Follow-up Department at the university should be a pioneering model in providing advanced strategic studies and supporting the planning, implementation and follow-up process to ensure the realization of the university’s goals and continuous improvement of its performance
It provides scientific and practical support for the formulation and implementation of the university’s strategic plans by preparing integrated studies and following up on the implementation of plans and projects, with the aim of achieving academic and administrative excellence and ensuring responsiveness to future changes and developmental challenges.

Annual Strategic Plan (ASP)
First Topic: Effective Strategic Planning
1- Developing and updating the university’s strategic plan
1.1 Review and update the university’s strategic plan according to the new changes at the level of higher education and scientific research
1.2 Hold workshops annually to discuss updates to the strategic plan
2- Preparing work plans for departments and colleges
2.1 Provide technical support to colleges and departments to prepare annual work plans in line with the university’s strategic objectives
2.2 Follow up on the implementation of work plans through monthly meetings to review progress and provide advice
Second Topic: Conducting studies and analysis
1. Conducting Analytical Studies
1.1 Conducting annual analytical studies on the challenges and opportunities facing the university in the fields of education, scientific research, and human resources.
1.2 Prepare periodic reports on the current status of the university and compare it with leading universities to enhance planning practices
Establishment of Academic Departments
2.1 Conduct an annual market study to identify emerging academic disciplines that can be added in line with the needs of the labor market.
2.2 Provide study-based recommendations for the creation of two new academic departments per year if required
Third Topic: Curriculum Development and Modernization
1- Reviewing and updating curricula
1-1 Holding workshops annually in cooperation with departments to review and update curricula based on market needs, scientific developments, and ministerial requirements
1.2 Supporting colleges in introducing modern educational technologies and innovative teaching methods in the curricula
Fourth Topic: Monitoring the implementation of plans and projects
1. Monitoring the implementation of strategic projects
1.1 Monitoring and evaluating progress in the implementation of strategic projects
1.2 Prepare reports to the university’s senior management on the progress of the implementation of the plans.
