Islamic University, Najaf
The President of the Islamic University in Najaf, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, attended the annual celebration organised by Al-Balaghi Centre on Wednesday evening, 10 September 2025, marking the birth anniversary of the Great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson Imam Ja‘far al-Sadiq (peace be upon him). The event, held in the Musalla Hall at Dar al-‘Ilm for Imam Al-Khoei in Najaf, will continue over two days.
The celebration was attended by a distinguished gathering of scholars, academics, and intellectuals from various provinces of Iraq. The programme began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by speeches delivered by Allama Sayyid Ja‘far Al-Hakeem, Sheikh Dr. Mustafa Cerić, former Grand Mufti of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Sayyid Jawad Al-Khoei, Secretary-General of Dar al-‘Ilm. The event also featured a commemorative poem recited by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Khaqani.
