The President of the Islamic University holds a meeting with the Board of the University Branch in Babylon

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance both academic and campus development, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, convened an expanded meeting with the University Branch Council in Babylon Governorate.

The meeting focused on several strategic priorities, with particular emphasis on the campus development plan. This initiative aims to expand university facilities to accommodate anticipated growth in student enrollment, while also enhancing the campus environment by increasing green spaces and improving services and aesthetic features.
Discussions also explored the establishment of new academic departments to align with global advancements in knowledge, including the proposed Department of Cybersecurity Engineering and the Department of Medical Physics Sciences.
Dr. Al-Salami underscored the importance of supporting scientific research, promoting academic advancement, and fostering an environment that encourages creativity and innovation. He also highlighted the need for thorough preparation to welcome the Institutional and Academic Accreditation Committee, in line with the university’s commitment to achieving quality standards and excellence in higher education.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Qurashi, President of the Babylon Branch, along with assistant presidents and department heads. The session featured productive discussions and collaborative dialogue on strategies to further improve the university’s performance across various fields.
