Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf won first place in a national Qur’anic competition held by the Sheikh Al-Mufid Centre (may God bless his soul) and the University of Maysan. The team consisted of the reciter Salah Mahdi Haroun, the memorizer Muhammad Talib Mohsen, and the interpreter Ahmed Nasr al-Din Qasim.
The competition activities occurred on Wednesday and Thursday, October 25–26, in the hall of the Faculty of Education at the University of Maysan and included representatives from twelve Iraqi governorates.
During the competition, the Islamic University team was honored by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmed Motaf Al-Juwaibrawi, supervisor of the Sheikh Al-Mufid Center in Maysan. (HTH)
