A specialised unit that aims to maintain the security and safety of all college employees, including students, faculty members, and staff, in addition to protecting university property and facilities. Promoting a safe environment is a vital role for this department in providing a suitable atmosphere for the educational process.

Objectives:

  1. To ensure security and safety, it is crucial to maintain a safe environment within the college by monitoring entries and exits and maintaining order.
  2. Property protection involves maintaining the security and safety of buildings, equipment, and university facilities from any damage or theft.
  3. To maintain security, incident response involves dealing with incidents or emergency situations immediately and providing necessary support.
  4. Enhancing security awareness: Spreading a culture of security awareness among college staff through awareness programs and training.
  5. Coordination with relevant authorities: Cooperating with local security agencies to ensure coordination and cooperation in the event of any threats or crises.

Duties:

  1. Entry and exit control:

– Managing security checkpoints at college entrances.

– Recording and analyzing visitor and employee movement to ensure that no security breaches occur.

  1. Surveillance patrols:

– Organizing periodic security patrols throughout the day to monitor all parts of the college.

– Inspect buildings and facilities to ensure that there are no security risks.

  1. Managing accidents and emergencies:

Rapid intervention in emergency situations such as fires, emergency health conditions, or any security threats.

– Provide first aid or seek medical help when needed.

  1. Preparing security reports:

– Documenting all security incidents that occur within the college and submitting periodic reports to senior management.

– Analyze security data to identify potential threats and develop plans to deal with them.

  1. Training and awareness-raising:

– Organizing workshops and training programs to enhance security awareness among students and employees.

– Providing guidance on how to act in emergency situations.

  1. Cooperation with external parties:

– Coordination with the police and other security agencies in cases of major incidents or threats that require external intervention.

– Updating emergency plans in cooperation with the relevant authorities to ensure the college’s readiness to deal with any security scenario.
