NJF Journal of Biomedical Sciences is the official multidisciplinary journal of the Islamic University in Najaf, Iraq. Established in January 2024, it is abbreviated as NJF-BMJ. This journal operates at national and international levels and focuses on medicine, chemistry, and biological sciences.
NJF-BMJ publishes original, peer-reviewed articles that highlight recent and advanced research, with a strong emphasis on high quality, strict research ethics, and evidence-based content. The journal also includes studies on artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies applied to the biological sciences.
The journal features full-length research articles, scientific letters, review articles, commentaries, and clinical trials, all published in the English language. Since 2024, it has been issued regularly on a biannual basis, in June and December. The journal follows an Open Access publishing model under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license.
Thanks to an efficient editorial process, the average time from submission to first decision is two weeks, while the acceptance period ranges between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the responsiveness of the authors.
