About the Educational Dental Clinic
The educational clinics of the College of Dentistry at the Islamic University of Najaf are part of the university’s educational and service system. The clinics are concerned with training students in clinical diagnosis in the field of oral surgery and gum diseases, and at the same time provide medical services to patients from different segments of society, to more than (1500) patients per month.
Educational clinics in the College of Dentistry are an essential part of the college, focusing on the clinical aspect of students in the fourth and fifth stages
A number of professors, supervisors, teaching assistants, employees and responsible workers work in the clinics to provide the best services to visitors.
The clinics are divided several branches, with among the clinics and under the of the scientific branches
Clinics vary according to the variety of medical services and treatments provided, as follows:
Oral Surgery Clinic – specialising in tooth extractions and various surgical procedures.
Operative Dentistry Clinic – specialising in simple fillings and root canal treatments.
Paediatric Dentistry Clinic – providing treatment for children, primary (deciduous) teeth, and preventive procedures.
Orthodontics Clinic – specialising in diagnosis and orthodontic treatment using removable appliances.
Prosthodontics Clinic – providing partial and complete removable dentures.
Oral Medicine Clinic – diagnosing various oral diseases and prescribing appropriate medications.
Periodontics Clinic – providing a wide range of periodontal treatments.
