The exams include: Arabic language, English language, computer.

National English Language Test (INELT – INPT)
The test is based on the CEFR system of English language levels.
The minimum required by type of study:
- Higher Diploma (Scientific/Humanities): 50 (A1)
- MSc (Humanities excluding English majors): 50 (A1)
- PhD (Humanities except for English majors): 55 (A2)
- Master’s degree (scientific, such as engineering, management and applied sciences): 60 (B1)
- PhD (scientific, such as engineering and applied sciences): 65 (B2)
- MSc (medical specialities such as medicine, dentistry and pharmacy): 70 (C1)
- PhD (medical specialities and English language): 75 (C2)
The duration of the exam: 1 hour.
Examination days: (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) of each week or as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Subscription fees: 30 thousand Iraqi dinars.
Renewal subscription fees: 20 thousand Iraqi dinars.
Regulations for the Iraqi National English Language Standardised Test
- The test venue is the Continuing Education Centre at the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf – University Presidency.
- The test lasts for one hour.
- Bookings are made electronically via: inpt.rdd.edu.iq.
- Applicants must visit the Continuing Education Centre in person to confirm their bookings no later than 72 hours prior to the test date. If the booking is not confirmed, the booking will be considered cancelled.
- It is strictly forbidden to bring in mobile phones, any tools or materials related to the test.
- Test takers must present their Unified National Identity Card or Civil Status ID when attending the test.
The validity of the certificate: Two years from the date of taking the test.
Iraq National Computer Proficiency Test (INCPT)
Required topics for each test
- Computer Basics + Windows (10): (Types of Computers – Components of Computers – Security – Viruses – Licence Culture – Introduction to Operating Systems and Types – Switching on and off – Desktop – Windows Control – Control Panel – Installing and cancelling programs – Folders – Files – Deleting and Restoring)
- MS Word 2016: (Using the software – Creating a document – Selecting and editing – Formatting text – Formatting paragraphs – Preparing the document for printing – Spelling and printing)
- MS PowerPoint 2016: (Main interface of the programme – Design methods – Types of slides – Adding and duplicating slides – Types of aids – Hiding slides – Final presentation of the design Slide contents)
- MS Excel 2016: (Introduction to spreadsheet software – Getting to know the interface – Editing – Functions – Formatting – Settings – Printing)
- Internet and Email: (Internet – Networks – World Wide Web – Browser settings – Search engines – ICT applications – Email – Composing a text message – Computer security – Introduction to Artificial Intelligence)

- Number of questions for the computer test: 40 questions.
- Exam duration: 60 minutes.
- Pre-booking is done via inpt.rdd.edu.iq.
- Tests are centralised and marked with an annual calendar on the R&D Department’s website.
- The exam every day (Monday and Thursday) or as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Research and Development Department.
Passing scores
- Master’s degree for humanities disciplines: 50 .
- PhD for humanities disciplines: 55 .
- Master’s degree for scientific disciplines: 60.
- PhD for scientific majors: 65 (excluding computer science majors).
- Master of Computers: 70 .
- PhD Computers: 75 .
The validity of the certificate: Two years from the date of taking the test.
The first attempt: 30,000 IQD.
Subsequent attempts (if not passed): 20,000 IQD.
Unified National Arabic Language Examination
Required topics for each test
- Grammar and morphology.
- Grammar and spelling errors.
- Linguistic Culture.

- Number of questions for the Arabic language test: 60.
- Exam duration: 60 minutes.
- Pre-booking is done via inpt.rdd.edu.iq.
- Tests are centralised and marked with an annual calendar on the R&D Department’s website.
- The exam every day (Sunday and Tuesday) or as directed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Research and Development Department.
Passing scores
- Master’s degree for all specialisations: 50 .
- PhD for all specialisations: 50 .
- Master of Arabic Language: 60 .
- PhD in Arabic Language: 70.
The validity of the certificate: Two years from the date of taking the test.
The first attempt: 30,000 IQD.
Subsequent attempts (if not passed): 20,000 IQD.
