Islamic University, Najaf
Professor Dr. Ammar Abdul Ameer Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University in Najaf, participated in the inauguration ceremonies of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him and his family) and Sheikh Al-Tusi’s (may his soul be sanctified) tunnels. The event was held as part of the “Week of the Born of the Ka‘bah” celebrations, marking the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and was organised under the supervision of the General Secretariat of the Holy Alawi Shrine.
These vital service projects are part of the ongoing efforts by the Holy Alawi Shrine to develop infrastructure, improve visitor movement, and ensure smooth traffic flow, particularly during major religious seasons, in a manner that preserves the sanctity of the site and honours the significance of the occasion.
The participation of the Islamic University emphasised its continuous presence in religious and national events, as well as its support for initiatives that serve the community and visitors, while promoting values of belonging and religious identity.
