The Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering at the College of Technical Engineering, Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, organised a specialised scientific workshop entitled “Automation and Smart Systems in Modern Facilities for Efficiency Improvement”, as part of its ongoing efforts to keep pace with modern technological developments in engineering fields.
The workshop, delivered by Assistant Lecturer Zuhair Jawad, focused on the concepts of automation and smart systems and their role in enhancing the efficiency of modern facilities, particularly in reducing energy consumption and improving the operational performance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The session also highlighted the latest practical applications in this field.
The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students, who actively engaged with the scientific topics, emphasising the importance of such activities in strengthening the practical dimension and linking academic knowledge with rapidly advancing technological developments.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific events regularly organised by the department and the college to support the educational and research mission, and to prepare engineering professionals capable of meeting the demands of the modern labour market.
