Islamic University, Najaf
The Islamic University organised a Qur’an recitation competition, attended by a number of faculty members, researchers, and students from the College of Islamic Sciences, as part of its religious and cultural activities aimed at encouraging engagement with the Holy Qur’an and enhancing proficiency in its recitation.
The competition featured a distinguished contest among participants, who recited verses of the Qur’an according to the rules of Tajweed, under the supervision of a specialised judging panel that applied strict criteria, including accuracy of recitation, quality of performance, and adherence to Tajweed rules.
At the conclusion of the event, all participants were honoured in recognition of their efforts, active participation, and exceptional Qur’anic performance, with the university administration highlighting the role of such activities in promoting Islamic values and nurturing Qur’anic talent among students.
This competition is part of a series of Qur’anic activities that the Islamic University consistently organises in service of the Holy Qur’an and its students.
