Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Abdel Amir Al-Salami, and under the supervision of the Honorable Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Salim Abdel Karim Al-Salami, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean of the College for Scientific Affairs, Ali Khayoun, and the Administrative Assistant, Jawad Al-Sayrafi, the College of Law organized an awareness workshop in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, in Virtual courtroom on 12/1/2025.
Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the Islamic University, Dr. Ammar Abdel Amir Al-Salami, and under the supervision of the Honorable Dean of the College of Law, Dr. Salim Abdel Karim Al-Salami, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean of the College for Scientific Affairs, Ali Khayoun, and the Administrative Assistant, Jawad Al-Sayrafi, the College of Law organized an awareness workshop in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, in Virtual courtroom on 12/1/2025.
The workshop was presented by assistant lecturer Balqis Abdullah, and was entitled: “The role of university women in discipline and education committees”.
The workshop reviewed the vital role played by women within discipline and education committees, as they are essential partners in consolidating academic values and promoting a disciplined and balanced educational environment.
The lecturer touched on the most prominent tasks and responsibilities that women undertake in these committees, especially ensuring procedural justice, participating in making decisions regarding student behavior, and contributing to formulating educational recommendations that contribute to strengthening university discipline.
The workshop also stressed the importance of supporting women’s presence in academic leadership positions, and their role in developing educational policies and raising awareness of students’ rights and duties.
The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session that included a series of questions and interventions by the attendees, which contributed to deepening the understanding of the practical aspects of the work of the disciplinary committees.
