Islamic University, Najaf
Under academic supervision and with active participation, the Unit of Religious Guidance and Counselling organised a student bazaar dedicated to showcasing the works and projects of university students, under the supervision of Ms. Fatima Al-Qabanji. The initiative aimed to support young talents and promote a culture of innovation and productive work within the university campus.
The bazaar was attended by His Eminence Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Sadr al-Deen Al-Qabanji, Founder of the Islamic University, along with the Administrative Assistant to the University President, Dr. Hassan Taher Milhim. They toured the exhibition, reviewed the students’ outputs, and praised the high level of creativity and quality that reflected the students’ diverse skills and capabilities.
The event featured a variety of handmade crafts, artistic works, and small-scale projects, providing an interactive platform that brought students together with youth initiative leaders within the university. This interaction contributed to encouraging students to develop their ideas and transform them into tangible, real-world projects. The Unit of Religious Guidance and Counselling affirmed that the bazaar forms part of its programmes aimed at empowering students and creating a stimulating university environment that supports extracurricular activities and highlights youth creativity.
In a related context, the Department of Renal Dialysis Technologies at the College of Medical Technologies conducted the practical examination for the Chemistry course for third-year students, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Rasoul Mahmoud and with follow-up by Laboratory Supervisor Zeid Al-Salami. The examination included essential laboratory experiments related to the renal dialysis specialisation, with the aim of assessing students’ competence in applying practical procedures and handling samples in accordance with approved scientific standards.
This step comes within the department’s plan to strengthen the practical component of education and enhance students’ laboratory skills in line with the requirements of the specialisation and the labour market.
Both activities concluded with wide appreciation from participating students and visitors alike, as they represented genuine opportunities to develop abilities, build self-confidence, and reinforce the spirit of initiative and academic excellence within the university.
