The President of the Islamic University, Professor Dr. Ammar Abdel Ameer Al-Salami, received in his office the Director of the Institute of Fine Arts, Professor Ali Al-Fayyad, on an official visit aimed at enhancing the prospects for cultural and artistic cooperation between the two institutions.

During the visit, the director of the institute presented two artistic gifts, consisting of two distinctive paintings, to the university, expressing the spirit of partnership and mutual support in the academic and artistic fields.
After that, the President of the University accompanied his guest on a visit to the university studio, where they were received by the head of artistic activities, Mr. Naseer Jawad Al-Zurfi, who provided a detailed explanation of the role of the university studio and the artistic programs and workshops it offers to students.
Al-Zurfi also reviewed with the guests the most prominent distinguished artistic activities in which the university participated during the current year, which contributed to highlighting the students’ talents and enhancing the university’s presence in artistic events inside and outside Najaf
The director of the institute was briefed on the university studio and the artistic programs and services it provides to students. He expressed his admiration for the artistic level of the studio and the student works he saw that expressed promising creative energies.
For his part, Dr. Ammar Abdul Ameer Al-Salami stressed the university’s keenness on openness and cooperation with artistic institutions, appreciating the visit of the Director of the Institute of Fine Arts, and calling for expanding cooperation in the fields of training and joint art exhibitions.
