Islamic University Holds Training Course on Climate Change and the Academic Work Environment

The Women’s Affairs Division at the Islamic University, in cooperation with the College of Pharmacy, organised a training course titled “Climate Change and Its Impact on the Academic Work Environment.” The course was delivered by Assistant Professor Zainab Ali Tuwaij, Lecturer Zainab Naama Al-Kafa’i, Lecturer Taif Mohammed Al-Makhzoumi, and Lecturer Asmaa Saadoun Shaker. The sessions explored the effects of climate change on the university environment, strategies for adaptation, and ways to promote environmental awareness within academic institutions.

The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr Shaker Shanawa, along with several faculty members, reflecting the college’s commitment to advancing environmental knowledge and supporting the principles of sustainable development.

The workshop also addressed mechanisms for managing conflicts within the academic work environment, methods of enhancing effective communication, and practical solutions that contribute to creating a positive professional atmosphere that supports institutional performance.

The Women’s Affairs Division affirmed that this course is part of a series of training programmes aimed at developing the administrative and professional skills of the university’s female staff and strengthening women’s empowerment in academic and administrative fields.
