Islamic University, Najaf
Within the framework of promoting sports cooperation between Iraqi universities, the University of Kufa organized an internal tournament for professors with the participation of a number of neighboring Iraqi universities.
The Islamic University took part in the competition through Professor Ali Al-Rafei, who represented the university in the table tennis tournament and secured third place, and Professor Laith Jamhour, who competed in the badminton tournament—an achievement that further enriches the university’s record of faculty sporting accomplishments.
This participation reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of sport among professors and students alike, and to promoting the values of healthy competition, teamwork, and balance between academic excellence and physical well-being within an integrated university environment.
