The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr Naeem Al-Aboudi, has honoured Dr Falah Hassan Abis, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathological Analysis at the Islamic University of Babylon, with the 2025 Research Leadership Award. The recognition was presented during the Iraq Education Conference 2025, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the global research institution Clarivate.
This award reflects appreciation for Dr Abis’s outstanding contributions to scientific research and his distinguished academic and administrative performance. He was selected among a distinguished group of Iraqi scholars and innovators whose impactful research achievements have strengthened the international standing of Iraqi universities.
The honoring ceremony was held on the sidelines of the conference activities in a scientific evening organized by the Scientific Research Authority, in the presence of a number of local and international academic figures. The event witnessed speeches and scientific, artistic and poetic presentations that expressed the spirit of creativity and excellence in Iraqi higher education.
The Presidency of the Islamic University congratulated Dr Abis on this accomplishment, affirming that his success represents a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing efforts to advance research and innovation. It further emphasised that this achievement reflects the institution’s commitment to excellence and leadership in higher education.
