Islamic University, Najaf
The Islamic University of Najaf has achieved an unprecedented milestone by leading the ranking of Iraqi public and private universities in artificial intelligence research for the period 2019-2025. This distinction is based on data from the global SciVal platform, owned by Elsevier and supported by Scopus, which is officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This accomplishment highlights the university’s ambitious research vision in digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications. It also reflects its commitment to harnessing modern technologies to drive development and knowledge advancement.
Professor Dr. Ammar Abdul-Ameer Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, emphasized that this success showcases the institution’s dedication to promoting high-quality scientific research. He noted the university’s strategic focus on future-oriented disciplines central to global scientific progress, particularly in technical sciences, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
