Islamic University Establishes Industrial Advisory Council

Islamic University, Najaf
Following directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s Department of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up, and aligning with the university’s vision to engage the labor market and bridge the gap between educational outcomes and sector needs, the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf established an Industrial Advisory Council.

The council’s inaugural meeting was chaired by the esteemed President of the Islamic University, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salamy, and attended by Vice President for Administrative Affairs Dr. Hassan Taher Melhem, members of the University Council, and selected representatives from both public and private sectors,
including the Office of the Governor of Najaf, the Municipality of Najaf, the Iraqi Engineers Association, Notary Public Office, Imam Ali Holy Shrine, the Chamber of Commerce of Najaf, the Chamber of Industry of Najaf, and the Najaf Tourism Association.
The council aims to foster practical and professional partnerships, align academic programs with labor market demands, and expand opportunities for future collaboration with relevant sectors.
