Islamic University, Najaf
The College of Law at the Islamic University organised a scientific seminar entitled “The Concept of Sovereignty and Its Importance”, attended by the Dean of the College, Dr Saleem Al-Salami, along with a number of faculty members and university staff.
The seminar featured a lecture by His Eminence Professor Sayyed Abdul-Jabbar Al-Awadi, who delivered an academic presentation exploring the concept of sovereignty from both jurisprudential and legal perspectives. He highlighted its dimensions and underscored its vital role in shaping modern states and its place within constitutional systems.
The seminar witnessed active engagement from the attendees, with a series of questions and insightful contributions that enriched the discussion and opened new avenues for intellectual exchange.
