Islamic University, Najaf
In a gesture that reflects the spirit of cooperation between academic and service institutions, a delegation from the Presidency of the Islamic University in Najaf, headed by Prof. Dr Ammar Abdul Ameer Al-Salami, visited the headquarters of the Hajj and Umrah Authority in Najaf Province. The delegation was received by Sheikh Dr Saleem Al-Ameri, Director General of the Department of Research and Guidance.
During the visit, the University President extended his congratulations on the occasion of the Iraqi Hajj Mission winning the prestigious “Labaytum” Award for Best Islamic Hajj Mission for the third consecutive year. He praised the exceptional efforts of the Authority in organising the affairs of pilgrims and its commitment to providing high-quality services across all areas, which contributed to securing this notable recognition.
For its part, the Hajj and Umrah Authority expressed its appreciation for the visit, highlighting the importance of collaboration between academic and service institutions in serving the community—particularly in representing Iraq’s bright image on the Islamic stage.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to strengthen cooperation between the two sides in areas such as training, awareness, and the exchange of expertise, to better serve pilgrims and visitors.
