The flag-raising ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Ammar Abdul Ameer Al-Salami; the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Mohsen Al-Muzaffar; and the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hassan Melhem, with the participation of deans of colleges and their assistants and a number of teaching and administrative staff and employees of the university.
In a speech on the occasion, the President of the University emphasised the importance of this great day in the march of the Islamic nation, stressing the need to inspire the values of Al-Ghadeer to enhance the spirit of responsibility and adherence to the authentic Alawite approach.
This initiative is part of a series of events organised by the Islamic University to commemorate religious occasions and to consolidate the principles of loyalty to Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon them) in the hearts of students and affiliates.
