Dr. Karar Mahbouba, the second deputy governor of Najaf Al-Ashraf, recently toured the Artificial Intelligence Technology Exhibition, a key event within the Artificial Intelligence Conference and its Applications in Industry, Education, Health, and Sustainable Development 2025. Hosted by the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf in collaboration with the Islamic Azad University – Najafabad Branch, the exhibition showcased cutting-edge technologies and software from over 70 companies, academic institutions, and technical organisations specialising in artificial intelligence.
Upon his arrival, Dr. Mahbouba was greeted by the President of the Islamic University, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, who guided him through the displays. During the tour, Dr. Mahbouba gained insights into the practical applications of AI across industry, education, and health sectors.
He commended the advanced level of the technologies presented. He lauded the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and promoting the importance of artificial intelligence for sustainable development and scientific advancement in Iraq.
