A special ceremony was held to honor researchers as part of the Conference on Artificial Intelligence and its Applications in Industry, Education, Health, and Sustainable Development 2025, organized by the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf in collaboration with the Islamic Azad University – Najafabad Branch, and under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The ceremony recognized a distinguished group of researchers and academics who presented pioneering studies on the latest innovations and practical applications of artificial intelligence. Their work highlighted AI’s significant role in advancing sustainable development and driving progress across the industrial, educational, and healthcare sectors.
Attendees commended the high scientific caliber of the research presented and emphasized the importance of continued support for scientific research and innovation in artificial intelligence. They stressed that such efforts are essential for fostering development and scientific advancement in Iraq and the wider region.
The conference, which runs from April 26 to 28, 2025, brings together more than 70 companies as well as academic and technical institutions, reflecting the growing interest in leveraging artificial intelligence for societal benefit.
