The Islamic University achieved an impressive sporting milestone by securing second place in the Iraqi Universities Beach Volleyball Championship, held in Habbaniyah, Anbar Province, from 20 to 24 April 2025. The tournament was jointly organised by the Universities of Anbar, Al-Maarif, and Fallujah, with participation from 48 public and private universities across Iraq.
The Islamic University’s team delivered a remarkable performance, defeating teams from Al-Rafidain University, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, and Baghdad University — eliminating the latter from the competition — as well as overcoming the Universities of Anbar and Al-Qadisiyah. In the final match, the team secured second place after a competitive game against Tikrit University.
The University’s Student Activities Department extended its gratitude and appreciation to Professor Ammar Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, for his continuous support, dedication, and sponsorship of internal, external, and international student activities, affirming that even greater achievements are yet to come.
