The Islamic University held a lecture on the aesthetics of contemporary Islamic architecture

Under the patronage of Prof. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, the Continuing Education Centre, in cooperation with the College of Engineering Technologies, organised a scientific lecture entitled:

‘Aesthetics of Contemporary Islamic Architecture – The Building of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf as a Model’.

Dr. Ali Ismail Al-Garaawi delivered the lecture, offering an in-depth exploration of the artistic aesthetics and defining features of Islamic architecture in the modern era. He highlighted the Islamic University building in Najaf Al-Ashraf as an exemplary model, showcasing how it harmoniously blends traditional authenticity with contemporary design.

Tuesday Event Attended by University Officials, Faculty, and Students Including Dr. Hassan Taher Melhem and Dr. Ali Al-Ezari.

The lecture comes within the framework of the Islamic University’s efforts to enhance the artistic and cognitive awareness of its students and affiliates and to pay attention to aspects of cultural and civilisational identity in the field of modern Islamic architecture.
