Islamic University, Najaf
As part of its pioneering developmental steps, the Islamic University announced the construction of a pedestrian bridge dedicated to its students, with a unique architectural design that reflects the identity and heritage of the city of Najaf Al-Ashraf. The bridge is located on the vital Najaf-Kufa Road, with the aim of easing traffic congestion and facilitating the crossing of students, especially during the morning rush hour, after repeated unfortunate traffic accidents that affected several students.
The bridge will benefit a large segment of students at the Islamic University, as well as those from the College of Basic Education and the College of Mixed Education at Kufa University, thereby enhancing the safety of the academic community and contributing to a smooth flow of traffic.
Prof. Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, inspected the project site accompanied by a specialised technical committee of engineers from the provincial departments, where the final touches were made to initiate the implementation process within the framework of the university’s commitment to serve its students and the people of Najaf Al-Ashraf province.
