Islamic University, Najaf _ The Department of English Language at the College of Education, Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, hosted a scientific competition titled “The Best Social Conversation.” Second-stage students participated by presenting religious and social conversations in English that addressed pertinent religious and social issues within the prevailing cultural and religious context. The competition concluded with a vote by the academic staff of the English Language Department, followed by the announcement and recognition of winners in a ceremony that reflected the university’s prestige. Beneen Hamid, teaching assistant at the department, oversaw the event.
Notable attendees included Dr Nazim Al-Salami, Dean of the College of Education, Dr Najih Al-Ramahi, Head of the English Language Department, as well as members from the department’s judging committee.
