Islamic University, Najaf _ On the fifteenth of Sha’ban, marking the birth of Imam al-Hijjah al-Mahdi (May Allah hasten his return), the Islamic University of Najaf, in partnership with Elsevier International, launched three new scientific journals focused on the humanities, engineering, and medical fields.
The event coincided with the Imam Ali al-Hadi (peace be upon him) Intellectual Creativity Competition and was attended by notable figures including His Eminence Hojjat al-Islam and Muslims Sayyid Sadr al-Din al-Qabanji, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Dahad, and the President of the Islamic University, Prof. Ammar al-Salami. Several university presidents, deans, and academic leaders were also present.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Khayat, Director of the Quality Assurance Division at the Islamic University, introduced the journals, outlining their objectives, themes, publication criteria, and online presence. He encouraged researchers and scientists to contribute their work to these journals to elevate the reputation of Najaf and Iraq on a global scale.
