Islamic University, Najaf— On December 30, 2024, the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf was honored with three prestigious awards from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research during the Iraqi Flag Day ceremony at Baghdad University. The event was attended by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university received the Outstanding University Award for both the 2022 and 2023 academic years, as well as recognition as the second-best private university in Iraq for those same years.
Additionally, Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Saabri was recognised for his outstanding engineering research, marking a significant achievement among private and public universities. This accolade underscores the university’s commitment to excellence and continuous efforts to achieve high academic standards.
The Minister, along with other academic leaders and officials, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, and to the faculty and staff for this remarkable achievement.
