Islamic University, Najaf— Under the auspices of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, represented by President Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, a seminar titled “The Proposal of the New Private Higher Education Law” was held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the Islamic University Council Hall. The event was attended by Dr. Adel Al-Rikabi, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee, along with several heads of public and private universities and founders of private institutions.
The seminar focused on discussing the key provisions of the proposed law for private higher education, highlighting its advantages and disadvantages. After the seminar, His Eminence Hojjat al-Islam Sayyed Sadr al-Din al-Qabanji, founder of the Islamic University, expressed gratitude for the efforts of university presidents in advancing educational success. Attendees also thanked the Islamic University and its president for organising this important seminar that benefits science and education.
Following the seminar, the Rector guided distinguished guests on a tour of the Islamic University’s facilities to showcase the institution’s commitment to scientific, cultural, religious, and modern education, ensuring that students are well-prepared to enter the labor market upon graduation.
