Islamic University, Najaf— under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, the Continuing Education Centre and the College of Medical Technology, in collaboration with the Community Police in Najaf Al-Ashraf, hosted an educational lecture addressing the dangers of drug use. Colonel Diaa Kazim Majeed, Director of the Community Police Division in Najaf, delivered crucial insights on the symptoms associated with drug use, the underlying causes of addiction, and effective prevention strategies. He also provided an overview of the community police’s operational mechanisms and the services they offer to residents. The event featured a poetic theatre performance that highlighted the risks and consequences faced by drug users. Attendees included the university president, several college deans, faculty members from various departments, and a group of students, all engaged actively with the informative content presented during the lecture.
