Islamic University, Najaf— Under the patronage of Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, the Iraqi Universities Table Tennis Championship commenced at the Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf. Prof. Jabbar Rahima Al-Kaabi, head of the sports activity department and tournament organizer, announced that 49 teams from public and private Iraqi universities participated in the event, which was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and numerous deans and faculty representatives.
