Islamic University, Najaf— Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, along with Prof. Dr. Hassan Taher Milhem, Administrative Assistant to the President, and Dr. Hussein Al-Salami, the project’s supervising engineer, inaugurated a designated smoking area for students. This initiative aligns with quality standards in educational institutions and meets the sustainable development goals recognized by various international classifications. As part of this effort, the university has implemented a ban on smoking in all corridors and courtyards, permitting it only in the designated area.
For his part, Dr. Hussein Al-Salami highlighted that the project utilized environmentally friendly materials in accordance with international specifications and included the planting of trees and shade plants, enhancing the space’s aesthetic appeal.
