Islamic University, Najaf— Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, welcomed a ministerial committee that visited the university to assess its preparations for the upcoming plastic, theatre, and film festival. The committee’s purpose was to review student works that will be showcased at the festival. Prof. Hassan Taher Melhem, Administrative Assistant to the President, Prof. Jabbar Rahima, Head of Sports Activities, and Prof. Mahdi Abu Gilal, Director of Cinema and Theatre, received them.
During their visit, the ministerial delegation was provided with a comprehensive overview of the university’s facilities to illustrate its readiness and the advanced requirements necessary for enhancing research and scientific initiatives.
Notably, the Islamic University achieved first place in last year’s University Theatre Festival, highlighting its commitment to excellence in the arts.
