Ministry of Higher Education Unveils Centralized E-Application Guidelines for Private Universities and Colleges for 2024-2025 Academic Year

Islamic University, Najaf— On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the release of a comprehensive guidebook for the centralized e-application system for private colleges and universities for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The guidebook offers detailed instructions for students on the electronic application and admission process, including general principles, eligibility criteria, and specific morning and evening study program requirements. It also outlines the regulations for other study channels and the free scholarship program for medical students. Additionally, the guide provides minimum application thresholds, admission requirements for each department, and a step-by-step explanation of the application process through the Department of Private University Education’s application system, including account creation and data entry.
To initiate the application process, students are encouraged to download the “PEAS” application, create an account, and complete the verification process by submitting a live photo and a copy of their national ID card.
The ministry will soon announce the next stage of the application process, which will involve entering accurate study details such as exam numbers and supporting documents. Students will then be able to select their desired application channel and register their university preferences based on their academic averages and study type.
The guidebook will be made available to the public next week. The ministry urges students to carefully review the guidelines to ensure a smooth and successful application process.
