Islamic University, Najaf— The QS World University Rankings has released its 2025 Arab Region University Rankings. A notable achievement was recorded by 25 Iraqi universities, including the Islamic University of Najaf, which secured competitive positions.
246 Arab institutions participated in the rankings, significantly increasing Iraqi representation. This year, 25 Iraqi universities competed, up from 18 in the previous edition.
It is worth noting that over 100 Iraqi universities and colleges participate in eight international rankings. The Islamic University of Najaf is the sole private Iraqi university in the QS World University Rankings. This unique distinction places the university alongside public institutions and solidifies its position as the highest-ranked private university in Iraq. This achievement reflects the university’s progress, its rigorous scientific approach across various disciplines, and the strong research capabilities of its faculty.
