Islamic University, Najaf— Prof. Dr. Hadi Abdulnabi Al-Tamimi, Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, recently met with foreign students enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sciences with a focus on Qur’anic and linguistic studies. This initiative, known as ‘Study in Iraq,’ is endorsed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq. During the meeting, the Dean congratulated the students who successfully advanced from the first to the second stage of their studies under this initiative. He also addressed their concerns and worked to identify solutions to any challenges they may encounter, aiming to ensure the initiative’s success and encourage students worldwide to consider studying at the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf.
Notably, last year, the university welcomed students from Nigeria, India, and Pakistan as part of this initiative, which offers free scholarships. To qualify, applicants must be actively pursuing their studies at a recognized seminary with endorsement from a prominent religious authority and must provide certified documentation of their preparatory education for equivalency assessment by the Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq. The university emphasizes that continued academic progress at the seminary is essential for maintaining scholarship eligibility.
