Islamic University, Najaf – Under the auspices of the Islamic University, students participating in the “Every Day Ashura” program, organized by Al-Basira Channel, were honored for their involvement during the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (PBUH). The program ran from 10 Muharram to 20 Safar and included daily readings of the Ashura visitation along with explanations of its passages.
During the event, Professor Dr. Ammar Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, delivered a speech emphasizing the significance of such electronic religious programs. He expressed gratitude to the staff of Al-Basira Channel and the participating students. Dr. Mohammad Baqer Al-Qabanji, Director of Al-Basira TV, also addressed the audience, outlining the program’s details and objectives.
At the conclusion of the event, students received pieces of alabaster from Imam Hussein’s shrine and certificates of participation.
