Islamic University, Najaf – In line with the Islamic University’s commitment to active engagement in Arab and international events, student Hassan Ahmed Abdul Bilal from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences has departed for the Sultanate of Oman. He is part of a delegation representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which includes the head of the delegation and three Iraqi university Rangers. Selected by the Ministry, Bilal will participate in the Arab Scout Forum for Youth Empowerment, held from August 2-8, 2024. He represents both the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Islamic University.
Iraq Scouts International Commissioner Abdulkarim Hanoun praised the Rangers’ participation by Iraqi universities and stressed the importance of showcasing Iraqi Scouts in the best light in Arab and international forums. He stressed the need for youth to face the challenges of the times. In his remarks, he stressed the need for young people to get to know their peers from Arab countries.It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is participating with a distinguished delegation headed by Dr Thaer Rashid Matar, with the membership of Hassan Ahmed Abdul Bilal from the Islamic University, Montazer Mohammed Kazim Al-Jawwal and Aqeel Muslim Abdul Rida.
