Islamic University, Najaf – The Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf in Iraq welcomed a scientific delegation from Azad Islami University in Najafabad, Iran. Professor Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University, and Dr. Nazim Al-Salami, Dean of the Faculty of Education, received the delegation.
A formal meeting followed, attended by university officials from both institutions. Professor Dr. Mohsen Al-Muzaffar, Scientific Assistant to the President of Islamic University, and Professor Dr. Hassan Taher Melhem, Administrative Assistant, were present alongside council members. The Azad Islami University delegation was led by their President, Professor Dr. Farid Naimi.
The highlight of the meeting was the signing of a collaborative agreement. This agreement establishes a framework for scientific and educational exchange between the two universities. Cooperation will encompass various fields including scientific research, administration, arts, and sports. To commemorate the occasion, Dr. Ammar Al-Salami presented the Islamic University shield to Professor Dr. Naimi. The Azad Islami University delegation reciprocated with gifts for the university and its deans. The visit concluded with a tour of the Islamic University campus.
