In cooperation with the Husseini Youth Authority in Najaf, the Islamic University of Najaf held its annual central celebration on the occasion of the birth of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him). His Eminence Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen, Sayyed Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, the founder of the Islamic University, reviewed several aspects of Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) life in a speech. The university’s president, professor Dr. Ammar Abdel Amir Al-Salami, then spoke in front of a large audience of male and female students as well as a number of deans, professors, and staff members from the faculties. Iraqi poets and chanters from different governorates contributed a great deal to the celebration.
