The Journal of the Islamic University College’s editorial board met at the Islamic University in Najaf on Tuesday morning, February 20, 2024. The editorial board meeting was held in the presence of Professor Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, editor-in-chief of the magazine, and members of the editorial board: Professors Hadi Abdul Nabi Al-Tamimi, Hakim Al-Kuraiti, and Fatima Al-Salami, Nazim Rahim, and Sadiq Muhammad Mahdi, all of whom are Iraqis. From Lebanon, Professor Raghida Muhammad Al-Masry, and from Iran, Somayeh Hassanalian, assistant professor.
Participants discussed the journal’s editorial board organisation, its presence on scientific platforms and databases, and its indexing for a high-impact factor. The editor-in-chief called for intensifying efforts to encourage researchers to increase scientific citations from published research while striving to make the journal’s website more influential and accessible to researchers. The members praise the capacity of scientific publishing by researchers from outside Iraq in the journal, which exceeds 55% of the total research published in the journal.
