The Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Najaf Al-Ashraf organised a ceremony in honour of its students who had memorised the Holy Qur’an, with the support of Dr. Ammar Abdul Amir Al-Salami, President of the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf. The honorees included Abu Abbas Al-Fahham, a prominent scholar of Najaf who wrote a book on Qur’anic interpretation. The university considers this celebration and honour to be among the core of its goals to spread the Mighty Book of God and adhere to it. The celebration of Qur’anists is taking place in response to the call made by Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to make this day a national day to celebrate the Holy Qur’an. It also coincides with the days of the noble prophet’s mission.
