The university president honoured the table tennis team from the Islamic University that won second place at the Iraqi Universities Championship, which was held in its sports hall, as part of his commitment to supporting and caring for outstanding students and winners in sports, science, culture, and religion. He also recognized the university’s futsal team for winning second place in the Middle Euphrates Universities Championship and qualifying for the Iraqi Universities Championship finals in February.
The university president commended the coaches, players, and Student Activities Department for their efforts in his speech. Additionally, he gave admiration to the university’s stadiums for their excellent tournament management and organization. In addition, he emphasized the importance of encouraging female students to play sports and engage in artistic, cultural, religious, and athletic competitions.
