The Islamic University of Najaf Al-Ashraf honoured the first winning students and participants in the Baqir Al-Ulum competition. In honor of the anniversary of Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him), the Al-Basira Channel at the Islamic University hosted a special electronic competition in which students answered questions about a lecture by lecturer Ayatollah Sheikh Misbah al-Yazdi (The Commandments of Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him) by Jaber al-Jafi). The competition attracted more than 280 students from Iraqi universities and preparatory schools.
Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Saadi, the dean of the Islamic University’s Faculty of Medical Technology, expressed during the honours programme how crucial it is to hold these competitions and seminars in order to raise young people’s cultural and religious awareness. He also thanked the students for their participation in these informative religious competitions.
Remarkably, the Islamic University’s Al-Basira Channel regularly hosts online contests and lectures for its students as well as those of Iraqi institutions and preparatory schools.
