In collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Grand Mosque of Kufa, Al-Basira Channel at the Islamic University arranged i’tikaf programme for Iraqi university and preparatory school students. The programme involved a group of students from the Islamic University’s faculties, Imam Sadiq University (peace be upon him), and Imam Mahdi University (peace be upon him).
In turn, Saayed Muhammad Baqir Al-Qabbanji, the channel director, confirmed that the program is part of the university’s activities and events, stressing the importance of the ritual to students’ spiritual and moral development.
It is noteworthy that I’tikaf starts on 13 Rajab for a period of three days, During this, the channel holds dialogue, jurisprudential and doctrinal sessions for the students present.
